Historic Venetian Location
Relais Venezia is located in a 15th-century building on one of Venice's oldest, smallest streets in Castello. This area features craft shops, Venetian workshops, and local pubs. The hotel is 500 meters from Piazza San Marco, Basilica di San Marco, and Ponte di Rialto. The San Zaccaria waterbus stop provides connections to Venezia Santa Lucia train station and Marco Polo Airport, 15 km away.
European-Sized Rooms
Air-conditioned rooms feature automated heating/cooling, air system mattresses, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms include digital safes, electronic contactless locks, and private bathrooms with marble mosaic finishes, rainfall showers or bathtubs, body lotions, and hair dryers. The Gold Superior rooms on the 4th floor have wood flooring, gold drapes, and city skyline views. Note: Rooms are European-sized with stair access only (no elevator).
Library and Local Exploration
The hotel provides a library for guest use. The surrounding area offers hiking and biking trails along the Grand Canal and Bacino San Marco. Nearby shopping includes Le Mercerie and Via 22 Marzo with brand stores, while craft shops and Venetian workshops line the immediate streets.
Transportation and Access
The San Zaccaria waterbus stop connects to Venezia Santa Lucia train station (2 km away) and the automotive terminal. Marco Polo Airport is 15 km from the property. The hotel is smoke-free and requires all guests, including children, to be present at check-in. The building has four floors accessible by stairs only.
Professional Management
The property is managed by a professional host. Rooms include soundproofing and Venetian tapestries. The hotel does not have onsite restaurants but is surrounded by local dining options including typical Venetian taverns and pubs frequented by residents.
“In a city often crowded with tourists, this boutique hotel stands out for its personalized service and location in a quieter area, near landmarks like St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge; the dedicated staff clearly aims to create memorable experiences. The meticulously maintained rooms and historic Venetian decor add to the hotel's intimate and authentic atmosphere. It's a solid choice for travellers seeking a more refined and attentive stay in Venice.”
